while i was in san francisco a few weeks ago a few friends and i had brunch at plow (thanks for the recommendation aaron!). tiny but beautiful space. definitely recommend it for brunch, and i would recommend going in a smaller group so you don't have to wait as long. i ordered the plow breakfast, jon's fried egg sandwich is pictured below and oh man the fried potatoes are so delicious.
a few months ago i had the pleasure of meeting jonathan lo of j3 productions. he introduced me to this beautiful zine he and his team have created called at your leisure. it's packed with visual inspiration – all styled perfectly. i've loved flipping through all of the past issues and they've just released their final issue: flow. you can order this issue as well as some of the past issues at j3productions.com/zine. hurry as they are only produced in small quantities!

well technically canvas shop is located in seal beach not long beach, but i am in love with this store. i stumbled upon this gem a few weeks ago while i was shopping at the adjacent floral shop. at first the name and surf boards in the front of the store threw me off – but once i was inside i was so thrilled to find so many of my favorite things.
they carry clothes, home goods, magazines, books and more. plus they have an art studio in the back of the shop where they offer drawing classes for both adults and children as well as other awesome events. im so glad i discovered canvas shop, and i know it will be handy during the holidays!
